“Taking contemporary cultural iconography and remixing them fo his own pleasure he’s developed his own take on what our
society looks like at the moment. Whether he’s lifting classic corporate marques and giving them the once over.

WRONGWROKS’s creations add another level to the landscape of logos that surround us in our daily lives”

What inspired you to start a streetwear brand in a world with so many?

Well, in the beginning, I don’t really mean to start doing a “brand” or “streetwear”, I was starting with some ideas I have and
I kind of learned silkscreen in the art school, so I start making some screens and printing them on some very nice art paper,
and then start making small editions like 10 or something and then people start asking me for same graphics but on T-shirts,
so i think alright , we can make some tee and start printing them onto white blanks, and then start it slowly and then getting
popular and becomes what im today.

“Wrong’s playful sense of humour is also apparent in his clothing. For the interview, the showed up in a black WRONGWROKS
hoodie with magenta spikes on top, which made him look like a rooster or a dinosaur. The fabric the spikes are made with the
soft texture of felt, but is much sturdier. He said that he wanted something that would retain tis shape after being washerd,
and he found that finally in Asia.”

how do you differentiate this from a “bootleg”?

“bootleg” is fake. Fake is something 100% copied from a real things and just do it in a cheaper way (like cheaper material etc)
and trying to make a fortune out of it. Mine is not bootleg, mine is original, my mona lisa is very original that nobody ever done it,
its interesting than any of those altered one, and the ripped off thing on box logo or on andy warhol’s faces to reveal the inside
its about “concept” , bootleg has no concept, bootleg just copy the look and sell, mines are more than just how it looks. It definitely
more than what it looks like.

What is ‘wrong’ all about?

“ I think making art these days is no longer about details, clearness, perfection...coz digital kills, eeryone is an artist, everyone is a photographer, fuck, its not fun anymore, its not cool being neat and nice anymore, so i just being me, being myself, being wrong, coz i think mistakes are actually something very cool, something that you cannot repeat, its very unique, its very original, its masterpiece, you can do something or print something very perfect , twice, or more, but you can’t make EXACT mistakes again, coz its “mistakes” its something that you mis-take it, how can you re-done it?
